Everyday is like Sunday

Since I have no idea what to write and I'm in a depression (because of this terrible weather) I will put some poems:

Fatality by Ruben Dario

The tree is happy because it is scarcely sentient;
the hard rock is happier still, it feels nothing:
there is no pain as great as being alive,
no burden heavier than that of conscious life.

To be, and to know nothing, and to lack a way,
and the dread of having been, and future terrors...
And the sure terror of being dead tomorrow,
and to suffer all through life and through the darkness,

and through what we do not know and hardly suspect...
And the flesh that temps us with bunches of cool grapes,
and the tomb that awaits us with its funeral sprays,
and not to know where we go,
nor whence we came! ...

and this is my favourite poem from best poet, Pablo Neruda:

I Like You When You Are Quiet

I like you when you are quiet because it is as though you are absent,
and you hear me from far away, and my voice does not touch you.
It looks as though your eyes had flown away
and it looks as if a kiss had sealed your mouth.
Like all things are full of my soul
You emerge from the things, full of my soul.
Dream butterfly, you look like my soul,
and you look like a melancoly word.
I like you when you are quiet and it is as though you are distant.
It is as though you are complaining, butterfly in lullaby.
And you hear me from far away, and my voice does not reach you:
let me fall quiet with your own silence.
Let me also speak to you with your silence
Clear like a lamp, simple like a ring.
You are like the night, quiet and constellated.
Your silence is of a star, so far away and solitary.
I like you when you are quiet because it is as though you are absent.
Distant and painful as if you had died.
A word then, a smile is enough.
And I am happy, happy that it is not true.

And I have to finish this post with Morrissey! :)

"And if a double-decker bus
Crashes into us
To die by your side
Is such a heavenly way to die"

Just an observation

I must agree with my colleague Draga, who had wrote in her blog that it is better to have assigned topics. To be honest, our creativity isn't at the highest level so I think it will better for us that the professor can give us topic. And with no offence to other colleagues, but some posts don't have anything common with anything that we are studying. The other that  I would like to point out is the course from the first year " English literature till 1500". The 2nd semester has started two weeks ago and there haven't been any lectures in that course. For me, that is proof that our faculty doesn't have a professionality. Most of the blame comes to the dean. One thing that really pisses me off is that the professor who are they planning to hire for this job is some guy from Turkey. There is more than half an million people in our country who are unemployed and they are desperatly looking for a job, but no, they must must hire this turkish guy. I don't know his qualifications or preferences, but I think that people from our country should have an advantage. I'm still thinking why they have opened a turkish department on our faculty. With so many languages that people can study like italian, french, spanish they have choosen turkish. Some thing I will never understand.
